When we last spoke with Look Back Luna in August 2023 for our Locals Only collaboration with 979X, the NEPA rock band was enthusiastically on the hunt for a lead singer. Now, by August 2024, they’re onto a whole new era.
Scent of Steam is a two-person experimental rock band emerging from NEPA’s creative minds and brimming with new ideas. Their recent single, “Dialing for an Answer” just played on Locals Only and it’s dark, brooding, yet still fun.
Punk rock group, Stay Loud has been dropping singles like sweet candy throughout the year to date. The four-piece band out of Luzerne County was recently featured on 979X’s Locals Only show for one of these releases!
Running in Flip-Flops is a local band unlike anything you’ve heard come out of NEPA to date. The dynamic electronica alt-rock duo recently had their fun and tasty new song, “Droptop Rocket” featured on 979X’s Locals only show with Lazy E.
WILKES-BARRE — Motionless In White is back for round two of Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Apocalypse Fest, appropriately slotted for Halloween Night. Muahahah!
So Much Hope, Buried comes out with a new album, I’d Be Lying to Say I’m Not Weak, on May 17 and they’ll be working hard this spring/summer to spread the word. The debut song from the upcoming release just hit the radio on 979X’s Locals Only.
Led by Steve Kucharski, For Steven’s Sake brings together musicians from the prolific local artist’s life to create an original and sentimental EP appropriately entitled, “Family and Friends Gather Here.”
NEPA band, Fosh premieres their first full-length album, “Up With The Sun” Friday, April 5. The band consists of three brothers who wrote the album while living together before parting ways for college.
