WILKES-BARRE — Minneapolis-based tap dance and music outfit Rhythmic Circus is coming to the F.M. Kirby Center.

The 12-piece ensemble, which fuses percussive dance and elements of rock, funk and brass bands, will perform at 7:30 p.m. April 30 at the downtown theater, 71 Public Square, in a show titled “Feet Don’t Fail Me Now.”

A cappella singing and vocal percussion courtesy of Aaron “Heatbox” Heaton add to this multi-dimensional production that was awarded Spirit of the Fringe Award at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Tickets cost $25 and $35 and are available now through the Kirby Center box office, online at kirbycenter.org and by phone at 570-826-1100.

The show premiered in August of 2008 at Minneapolis’ Ritz Theatre and has since entertained audiences throughout the U.S. and abroad.

According to a press release from the Kirby Center, the show “remains true to its mission to provide inspirational experiences for all age groups and cultural backgrounds through a sensational blend of theater, music and dance.”
