A collaboration between Grammy-winning blues artists Taj Mahal and Keb’ Mo’ is coming to Wilkes-Barre.

The act, billed as TajMo: The Taj Mahal and Keb’ Mo’ Band, is scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. Aug. 10 at the F.M. Kirby Center, 71 Public Square.

According to a press release from the Kirby Center, the two artists have “influenced each other for decades, and Taj played a key role in Keb’s first record deal.”

Upon their visit to the Kirby, Taj and Keb’ will perform songs from their long-anticipated collaborative album “TajMo,” which will be released May 5 on Concord Records.

Tickets cost $29, $39, $49 and $69 and will be available starting at 10 a.m. March 17 through the Kirby Center box office, online at kirbycenter.org and by phone at 570-826-1100.

A Kirby member pre-sale will begin at 10 a.m. March 16 through the same outlets.
