WILKES-BARRE TWP. — The greatest show on hardwood is coming to the Wyoming Valley, and its performers have a new trick up their sleeveless jerseys.
The Harlem Globetrotters play at 3 p.m. March 12 at the Mohegan Sun Arena, 255 Highland Park Blvd., as part of their 2017 world tour. The roster includes male and female stars like Big Easy Lofton, Ant Atkinson, TNT Lister and Ace Jackson, and the most entertaining team in basketball plans to reveal a 4-point line, which will be 6 feet, 3 inches behind the NBA’s 3-point line.
A press release from the arena promises “incredible ball handling wizardry, rim-rattling dunks, trick shots, hilarious comedy and unequaled fan interaction.”
After the game, Globetrotters will sign autographs and take photos with fans.
Tickets start at $15 and are on sale at harlemglobetrotters.com, ticketmaster.com, the NBT Bank box office at the arena and by phone at 800-745-3000. Group and scout ticket offers are available at harlemglobetrotters.com or by phone at 570-970-3519.
