SCRANTON — Adapted from a popular children’s book by Danny Schnitzlein, “The Monster Who Ate My Peas” is a play about a little boy who makes a deal with a monster, trading prized possessions for ingested vegetables. When the stakes get too high, the boy faces the tough decision of trading the things he loves or eating the dreaded peas.

A production of “The Monster Who Ate My Peas” will begin at 11 a.m. March 19 at the Scranton Cultural Center, 420 North Washington Ave. Ticket prices are $8 per person. There will be a Wiggles and Giggles workshop prior to the show, starting at 10 a.m. Tickets for the workshop are $5 per person.
