The 2016 Weekender Award

In conjunction with the 2016 Steamtown Music Awards, Weekender has nominated 15 musicians for the 2016 Weekender Award.

The pool of nominees is comprised of Northeastern Pennsylvania artists who have taken time to work with Weekender staff, giving in-depth and thoughtful interviews for some of the publication’s most intriguing art scene articles over the last year.

Nominees were selected because they either made new music over the last 12 months, adding to the vibrant Northeastern Pennsylvania music scene, and/or helped develop that scene through community leadership, event planning or simple good will toward fellow artists.

Public voting for the Weekender Award opens July 6. Voters can log on to http://tlgets.me/jon, to support the artist of their choice.
