Awesome Astronomy, where the Lackawanna Astronomical Society will give a presentation on what might be in the night sky before visitors look through powerful telescopes. Macro-invertebrates of Cherry Creek, hosted by Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center. Wear shorts and shoes that can get wet and wade in Cherry Creek at Josie Porter Farm, 6514 Cherry Valley Rd., Stroudsburg, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 16 to learn about the insects that live under the water and provide information about water quality. Bulldozer Trail at Ricketts Glen State Park, a difficult 7-mile hike, sponsored by the Susquehanna Trailers Hiking Club. Family Canoe Trip on the Delaware, a leisurely two day paddling trip on the Delaware River sponsored by Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center. Aug. 22 and 23.
