Tannersville Bog Walk, a 2.5-hour journey into the unique Tannersville Cranberry Bog with environmental educator explaining formation and plant and animal life. 552 Cherry Lane Road, East Stroudsburg. 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. July 19 and every Wednesday through Sept. 13. $4 for members, $6 for non-members, free for children under 12. Group Rides on the Trail, bring your own bike for an approximately one hour ride along the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail to Jermyn and back. 6 p.m. July 19 and 26. Meet in the parking lot of Valley Community Library, 739 River St., Peckville. No fee. lhva.org.

Valmont Bog Orchid Walk, hosted by North Branch Land Trust. The opportunity to see and learn about globally rare orchids located in their bog sanctuary, in the Valmont Industrial Park in West Hazleton. Two guided walking sessions with Bob Sprague from the International Native Orchid Conference at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m, July 30. Free for members $10 for non-members. Registration is required. Family Canoe Trip on the Delaware, a leisurely two day paddling trip on the Delaware River sponsored by Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center. Aug. 22 and 23.
