WILKES-BARRE — All of the 1,343 PPL customers affected by a power outage Monday morning have had their service restored.
According to Alana Roberts, PPL regional affairs director, the outage occurred at 10:04 a.m. and power was restored to 1,215 customers by 10:17 a.m. Roberts said crews restored power to the remaining 128 customers at 12:40 p.m.
Roberts said the cause of the outage was determined to be an equipment failure — specifically a broken crossarm on a utility pole.
Customers in Ashley and Wilkes-Barre in the Blackman Street area were affected, Roberts said.
