WILKES-BARRE — Dunkin’ Donuts is launching a new product — Nitro Coffee — exclusively in two markets — Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Hartford, Conn., at the end of the month.

Beginning May 29, Dunkin’ Donuts guests in all stores in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton market area will be the first to have the opportunity to try Dunkin’ Donuts new Nitro Coffee — described by the company as “an exciting new beverage.”

According to information provided by Allie Merullo, public relations associate at Alliance Marketing Partners, Nitro Coffee is Dunkin’ Donuts Cold Brew coffee, infused with nitrogen.

The addition of the nitrogen to Dunkin’s Cold Brew creates “a new delicious coffee beverage with a smooth, creamy texture.”

Janet Rock, senior research & development technologist nd a Dunkin’ Donuts coffee expert, has been working with the brand for over eight years to help create new coffee beverage concepts for Dunkin’ Donuts on a worldwide basis. Rock will be in the area for the launch of Nitro Coffee to talk with customers about the product.
