Willie Nelson to bring Outlaw Music Festival back to Scranton in September

Blackbird Presents, Mark Rothbaum and Live Nation announced today that the Outlaw Music Festival will return to Scranton this year with the second leg of its summer tour.

Headliner Willie Nelson welcomes Van Morrison and Tedeschi Trucks Band to join the already stacked lineup that includes Sturgill Simpson, Greensky Bluegrass, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Particle Kid and more.

The tour will visit The Pavilion at Montage Mountain, 1000 Montage Mountain Road, Scranton, on Sept. 14.

The inaugural Outlaw Music Festival took place in 2016 in Scranton and featured performances by Neil Young + Promise of the Real, Sheryl Crow, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Lee Ann Womack and Cabinet in addition to headliner Nelson. According to a press release from Live Nation, “the sold-out show was so well received that Blackbird and Nelson decided to take their band of outlaws on the road as a touring festival in 2017.”
