Country icon Kenny Rogers to perform at F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre

The F.M. Kirby Center announced today that country and pop icon Kenny Rogers will perform at 7:30 p.m. May 31 at the downtown Wilkes-Barre theater, 71 Public Square.

The Grammy-winner, whose resume includes such enduring hits as “The Gambler,” “Lucille,” “Coward of the Country,” “Lady” and “Buy Me a Rose,” will be accompanied by special guest Linda Davis on his Final World Tour: The Gambler’s Last Deal.

Inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2013, Rogers has charted in each of the last seven decades and has sold more than 120 million albums worldwide, placing him among the Top Ten Best Selling Male Solo Artists of All Time, according to RIAA.

The May 31 performance is part of the Wells Fargo Concerts and Comedy series at the Kirby Center.

Tickets range from $55 to $105 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through the Kirby Center box office, online at kirbycenter.org and by phone at 570-826-1100.

A pre-sale for Kirby members begins at 10 a.m. tomorrow through the same outlets.
