NEPA Metal Meltdown: $8 (advance) $10. Headbangers unite at the second annual Metal Meltdown. Beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, May 8, heavy metal bands from NEPA, Philadelphia, New York and Connecticut will take stage at Diane’s Deli, 206 S. Main Street in Pittston for the two-day throw down. Vinny vs. Lymphoma: $10. A wrestling fundraiser to benefit Vinny Reyrat, a pro wrestler battling lymphoma. Wrestlers including BoStorm, The Impeccables, The Falcon Corp and #YoungHustle will be ready for the ring. Bouts begin at 7 p.m. May 9 at the Moosic Youth Center, 606 Main St., Moosic. Second Friday Artwalk: Free!If you missed a First Friday Art Walk, you’ll get a second chance to see local artists, musicians and even acrobats in Pittston. Relax and enjoy from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 8 on Main Street in Pittston.

RailRiders: $5. They’re home all weekend beginning with a 10:35 a.m. game on Wednesday. Don’t worry if you’re still feeling those margaritas from Cinco de Mayo, the AAA team plays at 6:35 p.m., May 7; 7:05 p.m. May 8; 4:05 p.m. May 9 and at 1:05 p.m. May 10. Tickets range from $5 to $15. Games are played at PNC Field, 235 Montage Mountain Road.

Battle of the Bands: Free! It’s the first round of the semi-finals. Winners from each week and a wild-card will take stage starting at 8 p.m. May 7 at Breakers at Mohegan Sun Pocono, 1280 Highway 315, Plains.

Bike Ride Tours: Free! Are you and Mom the active type? Take her for an eight to 10 mile bike ride on the Lehigh Gorge Trail, sponsored by the Wilkes-Barre YMCA. The ride starts at 1 p.m. May 10 and riders should meet at the White Haven south trail head. Helmets are required for the ride. Free bike rentals are available. Mill Market: Free! Will you be in the Poconos on Saturday, May 9? If you are, make sure you stop by between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. for some free samples of locally grown and made products. Mill Market is located at 8 Silk Mill Drive, Hawley.

Cast for Cash: Free! Bring out your inner angler during a fishing contest on Lake Wallenpaupack. The goal is to hook one of 80 tagged fish for a chance to win prizes valued from $100 to $5,000.
