Warmer weather is upon us and that means it is time to get hot. What better place to go than the grand reopening of Heat this Friday night? The management has been working day and night on cosmetic changes and revamping the menu for both the food and bar services in preparation for the relaunch. The grand unveiling is at 8 p.m.

New managers, Chris Emanski and Estella Sweet, have created the premier party experience for the alternative life style community in Northeastern Pennsylvania. They hired an all-star staff and created a customer service focused environment that will keep you coming back. Every corner of the bar has a different feel depending on what kind of night out you are looking for. This is a 21 and older venue with a nonsmoking bar and a newly refinished stage for performances. Additionally the Heat staff added a private VIP area with bottle service, a dance floor, modern seating and a fully stocked bar. As far as entertainment, some national acts in addition to some of the areas hottest DJs are lined up.

Sweet and Emanski were born for this role. After launching the brand Sweet-Emanski Entertainment in 2010, they combined forces to bring the heat downtown. Sweet has a degree in hotel-restaurant management and has been in the industry since 10 thanks to a family owned business. Emanski is a mobile DJ and grew up with a father who also was a DJ. He took the family business to the next level by learning the art of special effects lighting and club management.

The grand reopening is sponsored by Fireball whiskey and Pinnacle vodka. Keeping with the heat theme, Fireball shots are going to be offered all day, every day for $1.50.

To be part of the event, tickets are required and can be purchased at the bar any time before Thursday. They are also available online at www.heatrainbow.com/events.html for $5.

Whether you are going for a private experience in the Lava Lounge or Devil’s Den VIP areas, checking out the beautifully painted themed murals by local artist Tom Sorresso or busting a move on the dance floor to today’s hottest dance music. Check them out on Facebook at Heat NEPA for their list of rotating happy hours and schedules for upcoming events including throwback Thursdays, Inferno Fridays, Sanctuary Saturdays and So You Think You Can Sing karaoke on Sundays.

Some like it hot, but at Heat, they like it hotter.
