WILKES-BARRE — Renowned country musician Travis Tritt will perform at 7:30 p.m. June 2 at the F.M. Kirby Center, 71 Public Square.

Over a 27 year career, Tritt has solidified his place as an icon of country music with 11 studio albums, five No. 1 singles including “Help Me Hold On” and “Foolish Pride” and two Grammy awards.

Ticket prices are $27.50, $37.50, $47.50 and $67.50. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. March 18 and can be purchased at the Kirby Center Box Office, by calling 570-826-1100 and online at www.kirbycenter.org. A pre-sale will be available for Kirby Members only beginning at 10 a.m. March 16.

Tritt reached the country scene in 1989 alongside fellow superstars Garth Brooks, Clint Black and Alan Jackson, and Tritt was named Billboard Top New Male Artist in 1990 in that good company. He’s also had seven albums reach a certification of platinum or higher.

Nashville singer-songwriter Tucker Yochim will open for Tritt on June 2.
