Kenel Rampel is on a mission. And that mission includes Northeastern Pennsylvania’s fashion needs. Too many times he has heard men in the area talk about traveling out of town to shop for trendy fashions. He’s heard talk about traveling to King of Prussia and New York to get up-to-date men’s fashion and conversations about shopping locally at chain stores in which an abundance of one look is made available. And since Kenel doesn’t want to hear one more thing about leaving the area to look good, spending exorbitant amounts of money shopping online and paying shipping and handling fees or seeing his friends relying on chain stores where they have the possibility of looking like cookie-cutter images of everyone else, he’s done something about it. He started his own store.
Launching Royal Blue, located at 511 Pierce St., Kingston, Kenel can offer top lines for the modern man who can save time and gas money in the meantime.
“This area is big on fitted clothing for guys. It’s only available at chain stores,” Kenel points out.
Therefore, he started Royal Blu to offer “brands that are popular everywhere else.” Recently appearing on WBRE with his wife, Carmen, Kenel talked about his youthful and trendy business in Kingston and wants to get across his goal: to fulfill a need of modern men in NEPA by giving them something different. No shipping and handling, no mileage and gas money. Now, it’s all local. And Kenel plans on spreading the word.
Using guerilla marketing, Kenel can be seen out in the nightlife scene where the fashionable hang out. He’s passing flyers and talking to people about their clothes.
“If I have to give a shirt out, I’ll do it,” he states about how to show the public what he has to offer. And that offer is what all the celebrities, including rock stars, UFC fighters, actors and hip-hop artists are all already wearing.
Royal Blu carries shirts, hoodies, jeans, button-downs, and hats for men from 18-40. But it gets even better. These items of clothing are all from hot brand names such as X Treme Couture by Affliction, Roar and Couture.
From artists such as Static X to LL Cool J, Sevendust to Jamie Foxx, Randy Couture to Ben Burnley of Breaking Benjamin, these designs can be seen. And now you can purchase them in Kingston.
Kenel hopes to begin carrying lines from Lacoste, J Steger, Laguna Beach, Soul Rocker, Rass Vintage and King Revel soon and expand his selection for the fashion-forward man. His target audience is the male who appreciates one of the hottest brands on the market. From rap artists to rock bands, the attire simply fits. By forming a street team, Kenel hopes to spread that word quickly.
Kenel is seen wearing jeans by 575 denim, shoes by Lacoste and a shirt by Couture. Keep an eye out for this New York native and current Kingston resident as he shows the males how to look good without having to leave the state or jump on the turnpike. Kenel Rampel wants guys to look good with his up-to-date styles. And Royal Blu plans on continuing to deliver.
