Feety pajamas for the kid in you

I’m not sure which is more amusing: the idea of feety pajamas for adults or the poses of the models as seen in today’s Style Files. Regardless, we all get the opportunity to whisper under our breaths, “Where can I get some?”

Don’t act like you don’t want them. As a proud former owner of yellow feety pajamas which caused me to feel as though I was stuffed inside a cheaply made stuffed animal — you know, the stuffed animals you would win at the fair and, if placed too closely to a nightlight, would suddenly burst into flames? I remember feeling snug as a bug and ready to be tucked into bed … of course I also felt like a sweatbox as my feety pajamas were made of un-breathable materials and a zipper that came to my chin. I’m guessing my mother had something for yellow feety pajamas because I had two pairs at different ages. Fortunately, however, one of these yellow saunas was unisex, and my younger brother got to burn calories just trying to crawl under the covers in the same polyester blanket called sleepwear.

Years later, who would have thought I could still be sleeping uncomfortably in sleepwear that refuses to breathe? My childhood years may be the reason I can’t sleep in socks now, because once my feet are hot, I’m practically boiling, and sleeping becomes a feverish chore. For some, sleeping drops their temperature, causing them to become chilly throughout the night. For these nocturnal Eskimos, the feety pajamas just may be the perfect attire for comfortable sleeping.

Bigfeetpjs.com provides various opportunities for bedtime jumpsuits. With feety pajamas for women and men, and a line for children to launch soon, their selections come in a variety of materials, depending on just how cold you get. With materials such as flannel and fleece, I don’t think you’ll have a hard time finding a pair to keep you toasty in even the chilliest temperatures.

These pajamas are button up, which tend to be more comfortable than the zipper versions.

Common sense will tell you that if you sleep on your stomach, feety pajamas that zipper up the front may result in discomfort and possibly even a few scratches. This does not lend itself to a peaceful night of rest.

Let the child in you out and invest in a pair of feety pajamas. At the very least, these will be awesome to wear when you are having house guests. It may make you sweat while you sleep, but walking out in the morning to pour yourself a cup of coffee in flannel feety pajamas will certainly strike up a conversation with your company — and a good story is always worth the hassle.
