‚??Mystery Science Theater 3000‚?Ě is coming to the Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple on Feb. 9 when Joel Hodgson, one of the creators of the series, presents ‚??Riffing Myself,‚?Ě an in-depth look at the creation of ‚??Mystery Science Theater 3000‚?Ě as well as his career.

In addition, there will be a question and answer period, giving audience members the chance to delve deeper into the world of movie riffing as well as Hodgson's passion for film and his career as a stand-up comedian.

Following the presentation, there will be a screening of the cult classic ‚??Pod People,‚?Ě a film in which a boy finds and befriends a lovable alien creature. But there‚??s a problem ‚?? the alien‚??s mother is quickly on the hunt for whoever has taken her child. The film was featured on ‚??Mystery Science Theater 3000‚?Ě in 1991.

A special VIP session is scheduled prior to the presentation at 6 p.m. Attendees will have a meet and greet with Hodgson and will receive opportunities for autographs and photos.

General admission tickets are $18 and grant access to the 7 p.m. Q & A session and screening of ‚??Pod People.‚?Ě VIP tickets are $30 and grant access to the VIP Meet and Greet at 6 p.m., as well as the Q & A and film screening. In addition, drinks and light fare will be available for purchase throughout the evening.
