The engagement between Karissa Lynn Edwards and George J. Vermack Jr. has been announced.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jacki Bonitz and Martin Edwards and a granddaughter of Mickie and Michael Rittle. She has a brother, Jonathan Edwards, Scranton.
She is employed at the Breakers Resort in South Carolina.
The prospective groom, from Pittston, is the son of Michele Savidge and George Vermack Sr. and the stepson of Robert Savidge and Helene Vermack, Pittston. He is the grandson of the late Ginette and John Vermack; Lilian Kline; and the late George Kline. He is a brother to Cameron and Kayla Savidge, Kyle Vermack and Nicole Davis.
He is the manager of the Animal House in South Carolina.
The couple will wed April 17, 2011, in South Carolina and spend their honeymoon in Miami, Fla.
