Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Heffner, Shavertown, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Crystal Anne Heffner, to Lewis Scott Spurlin, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. David Spurlin, Shavertown.
Crystal is the granddaughter of Ronald Zane and Betty Heffner, Dallas, and the late Frank and Adele Graboski.
She is a 2001 graduate of Dallas High School, and a 2005 graduate of King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, where she earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in both English and psychology. She is seeking permanent employment in the field of education, having recently earned her teaching certification in secondary education.
Lewis is the grandson of William and Maryanne Spurlin, Dallas, and the late Gilbert and Louise Boston.
He is also a 2001 graduate of Dallas High School and a 2005 graduate of Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, where he earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in computer science and management. He is employed at Lockheed Martin, Manassas, Va., as a software engineer.
After falling in love at the early age of 13 and dating throughout their high school and collegiate careers, the happy couple will be united in marriage on July 31 at St. Therese Church, Shavertown.
