Mr. and Mrs. Barry M. Simmonette, Hanover Township, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Beth Ann, to Randy Evans, son of Kay and Ed Benson and the late Randy Evans of Bellwood.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Betty Lou Rushton, Edwardsville; the late Edward G. Rushton; Ruth V. Simmonette, Dallas; and the late Robert M. Simmonette.
She is a 2000 graduate of Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre, and earned an associate’s degree in criminal justice in 2002 from Luzerne County Community College. She is employed as a corrections officer for the State of Pennsylvania.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Walter DeArmitt, Bellwood; the late Martha DeArmitt; and the late Ray and Ruby Evans.
He is a 1992 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and is a veteran of the United States Army. He is employed by the State of Pennsylvania as a corrections officer.
The couple will wed Oct. 4 in Las Vegas, Nev.
