Sarah Haase is our Arts & Entertainment Editor. Sarah oversees a team of six journalists who tell stories for Weekender, our alt-weekly; The Guide, our weekend planner; and Life, our daily, local feature section. Sarah’s new to our area, having moved here from her hometown in Westchester County, New York. She’s been a reporter in upstate New York and an editor in Oregon, where she ran a weekly newspaper. Be sure to wave if you see her driving around town in her Jeep Wrangler.
Héctor González - Graphic Artist/Arts & Entertainment
Héctor González joined the Times Leader Media Group in November 2014. A native of West Scranton, Héctor graduated from West Scranton High School before obtaining degrees in Film Studies and Anthropology from Columbia University in New York City. After college, Héctor moved into the field of digital marketing, serving as a producer at one of NYC’s many boutique digital marketing firms. Héctor now wears many hats for both the Times Leader and the Weekender, acting as a reporter, photographer, graphic designer and news video producer. When he’s not at work, you can catch him playing for the Wilkes-Barre “Breakers” Rugby Football Club, sipping craft beer, getting lost in nature or petting other people’s dogs.
Jeric Foulds joined The Times Leader Media Group in May 2014, having previously worked at The Patriot-News/PennLive.com in Harrisburg. Jeric is responsible for engaging with readers online, marketing our news using digital platforms, and creating digital content for our products.
Justin Brown is one of our Arts & Entertainment Reporters. Justin’s well-known in Northeastern Pennsylvania for being a party boy, having written over 200 “Sorry Mom and Dad” columns for Weekender. While Justin’s always up for a good time, he’s also a serious journalist who has written with expertise about controversial issues. When he’s not writing for us, Justin’s working on his coming-of-age reality TV series “The Millennials.”
Matt Dunn is a Business Development Representative for Weekender. He graduated from Wilkes University, majoring in philosophy and political science. He joined The Times Leader in 2014 and lives in the Jim Thorpe area.
Samantha Stanich joined The Times Leader Media Group as an arts and entertainment reporter in September 2014. She graduated from The E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University in 2011, and was the editor of the Culbertson Searchlight in Culbertson, MT and the head of social media at the Youngstown Vindicator. She is originally from Poland, Ohio and enjoys playing tennis and soccer.
