Ariana Petrillo of Factoryville sends in her 2006 Nissan Sentra 1.8S (B15 series) as this week’s Ride of the Week. “Sentra” is the name given by Nissan to the American version of the Nissan Sunny which is sold in Japan and Asia.

Petrillo says she’s made a lot of modifications to her Sentra over the past year.

“The car has come a long way,” she says. “I couldn’t be happier.”

Petrillo added a custom mesh grille and a painted lower grille along with a custom front lip, DEPO black tail lights, tinted headlights and reverse lights. The car now sports LED license plate lights and rides on Tenzo Racing RS5 17 inch rims with Marangoni Mythos performance tires. The Sentra’s interior had a custom black headliner and black pillars installed, along with yellow accent pieces. It has Liteglow neons and LED lights, plus a Kenwood speaker head unit and Rockford Fosgate speakers.

The car’s performance was enhanced with a custom axle-back exhaust, an OBX Racing header and downpipe and a Spectre short ram intake. The suspension features a factory SE-R strut tower bar, Megan Racing lowering springs, the Nissan 1.8-liter, 4-cylinder, 4 piston “QG” (“quality” and “green”) engine. It is a lean-burn aluminum DOHC 4-valve engine that features variable valve timing and NEO Di direct injection.

Petrillo has more additions planned for the Sentra, but like her other modifications, those will take a little time. She says that her boyfriend Ryan Keen has helped a lot with the Sentra’s transformation.

“He has helped me with everything and taught me as much as he possibly can about the car and is still helping,” she explains.

Petrillo will attend the Hot Import Nights/Nopi Supershow in Englishtown, N.J., with her car club the Mid Atlantic Sentras.
