“This car was a Christmas present the year I turned 16,” Hanson says. “I’ve kept it since. It was my daily driver through high school and college, then when I got a job, I decided to restore it and keep it.”

So far Hanson has had the exterior repainted, got new factory hubcaps and had the interior restored with the seats from a similarly colored Dodge Aries.

“I was a little embarrassed by the interior, so I worked on that first,” he says.

Hanson hopes to one day be able to pass the car down to his own children “probably as a Christmas gift again.”
