John Popko, a.k.a. Johnny Weekender, began working at the Weekender as a marketing intern during the summer of 2004. In September of 2005, shortly after graduating from King’s College with a B.S. in marketing and a minor in business administration, he was offered a full-time marketing/sales associate position. He held that position for almost two years and has since been promoted to a sales account executive position where he serves a large portion of Luzerne County and even extending into Columbia county.

No stranger to a good time, John can also be seen out attending various Weekender events and promotions as well as showing support for local businesses. He strongly encourages people to get out, get involved, support your community and simply have a good time.
