Things you might not know about me:

John Popko  by John Popko
Hey, my name is John.

I’m also known around town as Johnny Weekender.

I graduated from King’s College in May of 2005.

I started here at the Weekender in September of 2005.

If my apartment caught on fire, I’d save my cat and my music collection first.

I enjoy Miller Lite. Probably more than I should.

I hate insecure people.

My beer pong team at Gentlemen’s Club 10 has won more games than anyone else’s.

I play darts like it’s my job.

If I could be anything in the world, I’d be a rock star.

Boston is one of my favorite cities, and I make it a point to go there for St. Patrick’s Day.

I hate it when girls don’t act their age.

I hate the reality shows on MTV. They can’t be real if there is a script. But I’ll watch them anyway.

I hate it when people can’t put themselves in other people’s shoes.

I like girls with tattoos and piercings. Just not too many.

I hate it when people are stereotyped.

I’ve been told I look like Joey Fatone — too many times. If it were eight years ago, I’d take it as a compliment. But I’m not sure how much I enjoy it at this point in time.

If you’d like to know anything else, just ask. Just don’t EVER threaten me with a good time.
