String trio Simply Three to perform at F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre

    WILKES-BARRE — String trio, Simply Three will perform at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 15 at the F.M. Kirby Center, 71 Public Square.

    Known for playing chamber music covers of popular music, the trio of Glen McDaniel, Nick Villalobos and Zack Clark “has been captivating audiences worldwide with high-octane performances since 2010,” according to a press release from the Kirby Center.

    They perform a variety of genres, touching on everything from Puccini and Gershwin to Adele, Coldplay and Michael Jackson, fusing classical and pop sensibilities in original arrangements.

    Tickets cost $10 courtesy of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and go on sale at 10 a.m. May 19 through the Kirby Center box office, online at kirbycenter.org and by phone at 570-826-1100. A pre-sale for Kirby members begins at 10 a.m. May 17 through the same outlets.
