WILKES-BARRE — Melissa Ethridge will perform at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at the F.M. Kirby Center, 71 Public Square, with her Holiday Trio as part of the Wells Fargo Concert and Comedy Series.

The performance promises a multitude of Ethridge’s popular radio hits as well as tunes from 2008’s holiday album, “A New Thought For Christmas.”

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday and are available through the Kirby Center box office, by phone at 570-826-1100 and online at www.kirbycenter.org. A Kirby member pre-sale starts at 10 a.m. Wednesday, and tickets may be purchased through the same outlets.

The two time Grammy-winner received her first award for the single “Ain’t It Heavy,” and followed up in 1993 with the album “Yes I Am,” featuring Top 40 hits “I’m The Only One” and “Come To My Window.”

Ethridge also won an Oscar for Best Original Song with “I Need To Wake Up,” a contribution to the documentary “An Inconvenient Truth.”

She is set to release “Memphis Rock and Soul” later this year, her first studio effort since 2014’s “This Is M.E.”
