WILKES-BARRE — From now until Jan. 29, submissions are being accepted for the 2016 Battle of the Bands at Mohegan Sun Pocono. The competition will begin on March 17 at Breakers and participating bands will be vying for the chance to win cash prizes at the grand finale on May 26.

Interested groups must submit a demo, CD, EPK, website or flash drive containing no more than three songs, which should be a close representation of a proposed live performance. Cover music is preferred, and bands should note if a submission features overdubbed sections or guest artists.

Bands must also submit a recent photo with names and instrumentation of all players, an input list (preferably in digital format), a current song list and proposed 30-minute set list for the competition, a list of Thursday evenings between March 17 and May 26 when the band would not be available between 7 p.m. and midnight, contact information (including email addresses and daytime phone numbers), and verification that all band members are 21 years of age or older.

Submissions must be received by 5 p.m. on Jan. 29, and 32 bands will be chosen and notified no later than Feb. 29. The grand prize for winning the competition is $10,000.
