Wyoming Valley Art League will hold a reading of “A Christmas Carol” Sunday, Nov. 29 to benefit Ruth’s Place

WILKES-BARRE — Wyoming Valley Art League will hold a reading of Charles Dicken’s “A Christmas Carol” at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29 at the Circle Centre for the Arts.

WVAL is asking for a $5 suggested donation from attendees to benefit Ruth’s Place, a Wilkes-Barre women’s shelter founded in 2003. The reading will feature a number of guest participants from the Wilkes-Barre community. Following the reading, guests will be treated to music from Jason Smeltzer on theremin and Wayne Smith on piano. Beverages and snacks will also be offered at the event.

The Circle Centre for the Arts can be found at the rear of 130 S Franklin St. Parking can be found in a nearby lot next to Bell’s Furniture on S Main Street. For more information, contact WVAL president Margie Bryant at 570-760-9083 or margaretlbryant@gmail.com.
