With Halloween on a Saturday there are a multitude of events taking place. From haunted tours to costume parties to horror movie marathons, there is something for everyone. So get ready to celebrate Halloween Philly style.
Mischief Night by Firelight: At 7 p.m. Oct. 30, take a tour of Laurel Hill Cemetery where performers will tell True Tales from the Tombs about residents of the historic burial grounds. Tours depart every half hour until 9:30. Bring a flashlight and after the tour, enjoy cider and cookies. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door or online. Reservations are required for groups.
Night of the Crawling Dead: Barcrawls.com brings a zombie themed pub crawl to Philly. Twenty locations will participate on Oct. 30 and 31. Tickets for Friday are $10 and $15 for Saturday. A $30 ticket allows attendees to hit both crawls and enjoy a special Halloween morning brunch.
Candlelight Ghost Tours at Fort Mifflin: Fort Mifflin is rumored to be one of the most haunted sites in Philly. Tours feature stories of hauntings experienced by visitors and staff. Temple vs. Notre Dame: On Oct. 31, Temple University’s football team goes head to head with Notre Dame, currently ranked 6th in the country. Ghost Tour of the USS Olympia: Explore Philly’s haunted warship, the only surviving ship from the Spanish-American War. Halloween at Franklin Square: Enjoy family friendly Halloween events at Franklin Square. The park has Spooky Mini Golf and a Pumpkin Patch. Decorate pumpkins on site.

Very Scary Sleepover: Awesome Fest is teaming up with the Philadelphia Film Festival to present a 19 hour Wes Craven marathon, beginning on Oct. 31 at 11 a.m. Films include “The Last House on the Left,” “Scream” (Jamie Kennedy will attend the screening) and several of the Nightmare on Elmstreet titles.
