Wilkes-Barre—Susan G. Komen Northeastern Pennsylvania will hold a gala at Mohegan Sun Pocono on Friday, Oct. 9 to celebrate 25 years of the Komen NEPA Race for the Cure.

Happenings Communications Group President Paula Mackarey and Vice President of Marketing and Sales Director for Fidelity Deposit and Discount Bank Joann Marsili have been named co-chairs of the celebration and fund raising event.

“Over 85 business leaders joined the gala committee,” Mackarey said in a prepared statement. “We are planning a special celebration and if this early committee support is any indication, we will have a fun and successful event.”

“The Komen NEPA Race for the Cure is a terrific brand awareness event for the organization and the organization’s single largest fundraiser,” Marsili added.

Tickets for the gala are $150 and can be purchased here. Cocktails will be served at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. and post-dinner entertainment will be provided by Paul LaBelle and The Exact Change with the Electric City Horns.
