TANNERSVILLE — Aquatopia at Camelback Resort is in the running for USA Today’s Readers’ Choice for Best Waterpark.

The resort and waterpark, which opened in April, has more than 100,000 square feet of wet and wild fun. There are seven pools, 13 waterslides, an adventure river and a seemingly endless supply of water play elements.

One of the highlights of the park includes Storm Chaser, the longest indoor water coaster in America.

The park is open to guests of the resort only.

According to a Times Leader story, Jose Prosper of Westchester, New York, spent Memorial Day weekend at Camelback Lodge and Indoor Waterpark with 30 of his friends and family and said it was one of their most memorable times.

“A whole group of us got a bunch of rooms. I love it here. It’s a great place to get together with the entire family. There’s something for everybody. Slides for the kids. Even slides for the big kids,” he said. “And I like that it’s supposed to be 84 degrees in here at all times.”

Aquatopia is open 365 days a year.

Voting ended Aug. 31 and results are expected Sept. 4.
