Hip-hop Showcase: $5. FiveSeventyEntertainment is at it again. A hip hop showcase featuring theOfficialOverdose, CrimZn & Talia, Dep J, Misled Youth, Vicious Fam, Styleon and Klasseck will take stage at Lyrics in Carbondale on July 11. Music starts at 9 p.m. and there will be plenty of bar specials.

Wednesday Concerts in the Park: Free! Featuring music by Millennium, the music starts at 7 p.m. July 8 in Nay Aug Park Pool Area, 500 Arthur Ave. If you can’t make it this week, don’t worry, the shows will be held every Wednesday throughout the summer. For more information call 570-348-4186.

Party on the Patio: Free! It’s free and it’s every week. July 9 brings a musical performance from Satisfaction paying tribute to the music of the Rolling Stones. Head over to Mohegan Sun Pocono, 1280 Route 315, Plains Township. Music starts at 6 p.m. and is open to anyone 21 and older.

Covington Fire Company Picnic: Free! Need some more fireworks? From July 8 to 11, the Covington Fire Company will feature fireworks, amusement rides, food stands, a parade on Thursday night, DJ music on Wednesday and Thursday, and live music by The Fallen (Friday) and Farmer’s Daughter (Saturday). Fun starts at 6 p.m. July 8-10 and at 3 p.m. July 11 at Covington Fire Department, 452 Daleville Highway, Moscow.

4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals: Free!A weekend of 4×4 competitions, custom trucks, the General Tire Monster Truck Thunder Drags, Mud Bog Challenge and freestyle competitions. The event begins July 10 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On July 11 and 12 the events starts at 9 a.m. wrapping up at 9 p.m. and 3 p.m. respectively. It all happens at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds, 620 W.
