I have recently gotten into a relationship with a guy I really like. Although everything is going great, he hasn’t made it Facebook official yet. We are in our 30s, and I am not sure why it is bothering me so much, but the fact that its been a couple of weeks and it still says single makes me think he really isn’t as committed as I thought. What do I do?

Congratulations on the new relationship! I will give you some advice that is as old as time itself: Don’t sweat the small stuff. If Facebook is that important to you, tell him. Its possible this is an oversight and he just hasn’t updated the status because while you are important to him, the online status isn’t. It doesn’t make your relationship any less valid. Think back to the pre-Facebook days when people only knew you were dating by seeing you happy together. Maybe he is just vintage like that.
