This is Tim's inaugural column.
Take a good, long look in the mirror. The reflection resembles you, but may be slightly different. Perhaps staring back is a heavier version of you, a weaker version of you or an older version of you? Perhaps you are nearly thrilled with what you see, but there are just one or two small things you would ultimately like to change about yourself. Regardless of the progress you want to make with your physical appearance, setting any goal, big or small, can be overwhelming. Where to begin?
Don’t panic. I am here to help. My name is Tim Hlivia. This is my debut column in the Weekender (this is actually my first column, period). I can, and will, help you change your body and the way you think about fitness and nutrition.
While success means many different things to different people, believing you can reach your ultimate goals, and believing in yourself is key. As a personal trainer, I have helped hundreds of clients realize their fitness goals and meet their success through hard work, dedication and perseverance.
Over the past 15 years, I have worked in many gym settings, but one constant always remains: Clients seek results. In 2010, I opened Leverage Fitness Studio, located in Forty Fort, and realized firsthand what it feels like to conquer a dream. By reaching my goals (through education and by opening Leverage), I have helped countless clients reach their goals — for some, one pound and one day at a time.
But, this column is not about me. It’s about you! I intend to bring positive results to you, through fitness and nutritional support. Together, we will realize dreams and reach goals.
In 2012, realize your self worth and invest in yourself.
Here’s to a Happy New Year and a happy new you!
