IGOURMET OPENS UP

Igourmet.com will host a Summer Warehouse Sale Thursday, July 1 from 4-7p.m. at its warehouse at 508 Delaware Ave. in West Pittston.

Igourmet was founded in 1997 and offers more than 600 specialty cheeses, thousands of fine foods, gift baskets and more. You can be sure I’ll be checking out this rare open house. If you haven’t tried any of Igourmet’s delicious cheeses, you are missing out!

TUNE IN, TURN ON, DRINK UP

Fourth of July weekend doesn’t just mean fireworks — especially at Bird Song Winery (Bahr’s Road, Dushore).

The winery will hold its annual Winestock Saturday, July 3 from 3-10 p.m. The event includes specialty wines from area wineries, food and beverages in the Food Barn, arts and crafts vendors, blues and reggae music and a fireworks display.

FOOD AS ART

“Chomp! Food Inspired Art” by Brian Langan, Setty Hopkins, Elijah Birtel and Thom Lessner will be on display Friday, July 2 at 6 p.m. at The Bog (341 Adams Ave., Scranton) as part of Scranton’s monthly First Friday.

A cookout will be held on the sidewalk from 6-7:30 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis, and sweets by Kelly Langan and Nina Muto will be available inside.

WHEN FOOD MEETS TECH

Magazine giant Conde Nast may have stopped the presses on Gourmet magazine last fall, but the brand will get a reboot, literally, when the company launches the digital product Gourmet Live for the iPad and other mobile devices later this year.

Though Robert Sauerberg, head of Conde Nast’s consumer marketing division, emphasized that Gourmet Live is not a digital magazine, techie foodies might want to check this out.
