A NEW ‘RANCH’
Ranch Wagon (255 Memorial Highway, Shavertown) has opened a new location at Pikes Creek Raceway (Route 118, Pikes Creek). The menu at both locations, which are owned by Allan and Barbara Roberts, are the same.
Hours at Pikes Creek are Monday-Friday from 6-8:30 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday from noon-8:30 p.m. Call in-orders can be placed at 570.477.3188.
SATURDAY SHOPPING
The Farmers’ Market at the Back Mountain Memorial Library (96 Huntsville Road, Dallas) will be held Saturdays from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. July 17 through Sept. 25. Natural Chef Toby Landon will be on hand each week to provide smoothies, raw food snacks like zucchini hummus, olive tapenade, salsa and more.
Landon’s raw food offerings will change weekly based on local, organic available produce.
WINE ON THE TRACK
Riedel, “The Wine Glass Company,” will offer an upscale VIP experience at the Finger Lakes Wine Festival, which will be held Friday-Sunday, July 16-18 at Watkins Glen International (2790 County Route 16, Watkins Glen, N.Y.)
Participants will receive a VIP passport to enjoy numerous experiences including a private tasting with winemakers and an exclusive sensory exploration class with Georg Josef Riedel.
“The Finger Lakes Wine Festival is the largest showcase of Finger Lakes wines in the world,” said Morgen McLaughlin, president of Finger Lakes Wine Country Tourism and Marketing Association, in a press release. “Thousands of visitors from all over the United States attend, and we are thrilled to now offer an intimate tasting experience at the festival. It is especially exciting for the region and festival to have a partner like Riedel that is synonymous with wine and quality stemware.”
