Four local bands are joining forces to raise money for the Pittston Parks Association, the Pittston Library and the Jeff DePrimo Foundation on Saturday, Aug. 28 from noon until 10 p.m. at Jefferson Park (New Street, Pittston).
Junction Jam 2010 will feature music by Underground Saints, Phyllis Hopkins Band, The Tom Petty Appreciation Band and headline act Fosterchild. Fosterchild, which features Pittston native Brian Quinn, is a Philadelphia-based nationally touring band that has spent most of the past two years on tour with bands like Tantric, Shinedown and Candlebox.
The all-day benefit will also include activities for children. Tickets will be available at the door. For adults, cost is $10, and children under 12 will be admitted for free. All net proceeds will go to the three charities.
Junction Jam is the brainchild of Pittston resident and local musician Mickey Quinn, Brian Quinn’s brother.
