10 ways you know you are a Scranton Parade Day seasoned veteran

10. You laugh at people who are actually dressed up and know that this is obviously their first year.

9. Your alarm is set for 6 a.m. and you have no problem waking up, as opposed to any other day of the week.

8. You have a plan of attack….you know which bars you will be going to, and you are on a strict schedule.

7. When someone says that they have never been to the Scranton parade, you almost crucify them.

6. The night before the parade you find yourself lying in bed for hours like a little kid on Christmas Eve, knowing that the big day will never come unless you fall asleep.

5. You have your Parade Day attire picked out months in advance, or better yet, have a uniform that you wear annually.

4. You have your Parade Day “flare” from past years waiting in a safe place to be used again this year.

3. Your worst nightmare is having to use the bathrooms and have actually weighed the pros and cons of a diaper.

2. You have a countdown in your MySpace profile.

1. You’ve been there every year, but you’ve never actually seen the Parade.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ☺
