Mat Burke's "cubicle punk rock" - as it has been labeled by friends - has taken him from Clarks Summit to Nashville. After narrowly escaping flooding in Tennessee in May, he recently returned to the region to promote his March 2010 release, "Kill Or Be Killed." Burke, along with friends Frank Marciano and Pat Kirby, stopped by the Weekender offices to play through some album cuts and debut two previously unreleased songs.
Burke has been featured as part of the "Philly Rising" contest at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia and was previously featured in WVIA's "Homegrown Music" series.
