You have successes and you have failures, good moments and ones you wish you could take back, great years and sad ones. Although 2008 was not the year I anticipated it to be, it is at these moments, the ones that offer no savings from that which has passed, that I must remind myself what I can be thankful for. We need to remind ourselves of these things, the ones you hold dear, to pick ourselves up from the moments we wish we could forget.
1. I am thankful for being born into the family I admire.
2. I am thankful for those who care about me unconditionally.
3. I am thankful to know there are fantastic days among weeks that are buried with ones scoring less.
4. I am thankful a friend of mine beat cancer.
5. I am thankful for laughing at movies that make my sides hurt.
6. I am thankful my siblings are a phone call away.
7. I am thankful for my brother's work towards my church.
8. I am thankful my cat, Gia sleeps by my side when she knows I can't sleep at all.
9. I am thankful I can admit that paths chosen aren't necessarily paths destined.
10. I am thankful that after a year of question, I can be very thankful for so many things after all.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Rachel
