An Albatross

There are shows that you savor every second of, and then there are those you just hang on and hope to survive the set. Death By Audio shows fall squarely in the latter category. Hidden on South Second Street in overly trendy Williamsburg, the all-ages warehouse space is home to some of Brooklyn's best shows. What Death by Audio lacks in creature comforts it more than makes up for in spirit; no too-cool-for-you hipsters are doing the crossed-arms vacant stare dance. Our singer Eddie's pants are routinely pulled every time he turns around, and flailing limbs constantly land on guitar pedals, knocking out cables and overturning mic stands. But we can't stop. The crowd knows all the words to every song, which is ironic since I sure don't.

At the end of the night we pile into our guitar player's apartment two blocks away, crack a few beers and grab a few hours of sleep.
