Betsey Johnson’s spring 2014 collection is ready to wear and just in time for the spring and prom seasons!
What better way to celebrate the Earth’s renewal than layers and layers of pastel tulle? Let’s all pay homage to the blooming flowers with one of my collection favorites, the Dizzy Daisy shift dress for $178. The flattering cut looks effortlessly chic on all shapes and sizes while the retro daisy print gently screams, “Spring has sprung!”
Betsey is known for her crazy charming jewels, and this year she has won my vote for the must-have spring accessory – the Glam Bug stud earrings. These gold, pink, and peridot colors add instant spring to any outfit. The whimsical bug shape is right on trend, and they are totally affordable at $30 a set.
Still in school? Be the princess of your prom with one of Betsey’s romantic-meets-funky gowns from her prom collection. My favorite is the Long Illusion dress in champagne for $178 plus free shipping at betseyjohnson.com. I wish this was around for my prom. Sigh.
The site also features matching shoes that, yes, you can wear again and again. You can also swap your traditional satin clutch for a super sweet ice cream cone wristlet or retro record clutch.
Kids too young for prom? Betsey has a children’s collection! I’ve always loved shopping for Easter dresses in mini sizes for the kiddies – so sweet, so cute, so flouncy, and so pastel! These are styles I wouldn’t dare don myself, but I love putting my daughter in them. Betsy has toned it down a bit this season, but her bite-sized kiddie caftans are squeal worthy and only $32 a pop. Matching rompers are also available. Pair up the Little Ditsy Floral Caftan with some oversized shades and your babe will be the coolest at the pool.
