Thursday, Dec. 7 is the last day of classes for all undergraduate students at Marywood! A three-day weekend will allow students to prepare for finals that begin at 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11.
On Wednesday, Dec. 6, Marywood will hold the annual Christmas Tree Lighting in the Rotunda of the Liberal Arts Center beginning at 4 p.m. Students from various clubs and organizations on campus have made ornaments to hang on the tree symbolizing their group. There will be a performance by the Marywood Chamber Singers and speeches from leaders of Student Government. There will be holiday refreshments for all guests after the event. Everyone is welcome to celebrate the beginning of the holiday heason with the Marywood community.
Friday, Dec. 8 marks the Feast of The Immaculate Conception. Classes are cancelled for all students on campus. There will be a bus trip to New York City sponsored by the Student Government.
A concert event, Christmas at Marywood, will be held on Sunday, Dec. 11 beginning at 4 p.m. in the Sette LaVerghetta Center for the Performing Arts. For ticket information and a complete list of events to celebrate the season, contact the Communication Arts Department at 570.348.6209 or e-mail
The annual FlapJack Fest will be held on Monday, Dec. 11 from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. in the Main Dining Hall. This event, sponsored by the Student Activities Crew, features Professors from Marywood as cooks for the evening making pancakes with all of your favorite toppings!
