NO GOOD DEED — An unsuspecting Atlanta woman (Taraji P. DOLPHIN TALE 2 — Several years have passed since Sawyer Nelson (Nathan Gamble) and the team (Harry Connick Jr., Morgan Freeman) at Clearwater Marine Hospital gave Winter the dolphin a prosthetic tail, and saving her life. Now however, a new crisis has arisen. Winter’s elderly surrogate mother, Panama, has died, which leaves Winter without a pool mate. According to USDA regulations, dolphins cannot be housed alone. Unless a new companion can be found quickly, Clearwater will lose Winter to another aquarium. THE DROP — Bob Saginowski (Tom Hardy) tends bar in his cousin’s pub and looks the other way when local mobsters use the joint as a temporary bank. He asks his neighbor, Nadia (Noomi Rapace), for help, and a mutual attraction sparks between them as they nurse the dog back to health. However, a robbery at the bar and the return of Nadia’s abusive ex force Bob to face the truth about those he thinks he knows best — including himself. GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY — Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES — A group of mutated warriors face off against an evil kingpin who wants to take over New York. PG-13, 1:41

THE EXPENDABLES 3 — Barney (Sylvester Stallone) augments his team with new blood for a personal battle: to take down Conrad Stonebanks, the Expendables co-founder and notorious arms trader who is hell bent on wiping out Barney and every single one of his associates. PG-13, 2:06

GHOSTBUSTERS — 30th Anniversary edition. After the members of a team of scientists (Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray) lose their cushy positions at a university in New York City, they decide to become “ghostbusters” to wage a high-tech battle with the supernatural for money. They stumble upon a gateway to another dimension, a doorway that will release evil upon the city. The Ghostbusters must now save New York from complete destruction. PG, 1:45

INNOCENCE — A new student (Sophie Curtis) at an exclusive prep school learns that her alluring teachers maintain their youthful appearance by drinking the blood of virgins. PG-13, 1:35

CHEF — After a controlling owner (Dustin Hoffman) pushes him too far, Chef Carl Casper (Jon Favreau) quits his job at a prestigious Los Angeles restaurant. As he tries to figure out what his next step should be, Carl finds himself in Miami. He joins forces with his ex-wife (Sofía Vergara), his best friend (John Leguizamo) and his son (Emjay Anthony) to launch a food-truck business. The venture provides Carl with the chance to re-ignite his passion for cooking — as well as his zest for life and love. R, 1:55

At extreme odds, Jonas knows that he must escape their world to protect them all – a challenge that no one has ever succeeded at before. THE HUNDRED-FOOT JOURNEY — Hassan Kadam (Manish Dayal), culinary ingenue and his family are displaced from their native India and relocate to quaint French village. They open an Indian eatery close to that of Madame Mallory (Helen Mirren) proprietress of an acclaimed restaurant. Eventually Mallory recognizes Kadan’s impressive epicurean gifts and takes him under her wing. PG, 2:02

INTO THE STORM — This is as close to a real tornado as most of us would like to get; the budget went for the spectacular special effects and gave short shrift to the human stories.PG-13, 1:29

BOYHOOD — The angst of growing up are seen through the eyes of a child, Mason, his parents (Patricia Arquette, Ethan Hawke) and his sister. Filmed with the same cast over 12 years, capture family meals, road trips, birthday parties, graduations and other important milestones. R, 2:46

LETS BE COPSThe laughs are loud, lewd and low in this spoof of copy “buddy pictures” that is pretty much the definition of an August comedy. This month is the dumping ground for the not-so-great. R, 1:14
