“I bought this car and restored it in honor of my late father Sam,” Bohlig said. “My father owned a Corvair back in the ’60s, but when the Ralph Nader book came out about how unsafe they were my mother made him get rid of it. He always said that was the only regret in his life.” “I tried for many years to find one that was already restored, or to try and buy one and restore it, but it seems the Corvairs are quite rare. Finally, a few years ago I finally got the opportunity to buy this one. It was in pretty rough shape back then, but with the help of my brother Dan, my brother-in-law Ken and my friend Josh, we’ve got it looking pretty good.”
