If there is one thing you and I have in common it’s that we don’t ever want to grow up, but if we do, we want to do it very slowly and gracefully, leaving no signs of surgery marks and scars.

One of the first parts of your face to show signs of aging is your eyes. The thinner, more sensitive skin surrounding the eye will show aging after continued rubbing and irritation from wearing makeup. If you do not hydrate, moisturize, and protect the eye area regularly, the lack of moisture will cause more wrinkles, sagging, and discoloration.

I am continually on the hunt for the perfect eye cream, and I believe I’ve found it with The Sapphire Salon and Destination Spa’s Sapphire Skin Care Anti-Aging Eye Serum. They call this eye serum “Botox without the injections.”

If you want the effects of an in-office anti-aging eye procedure, minus the injections and, well, the chemicals, then today’s your lucky day. They created an eye serum that temporarily mimics the results of injectibles and fillers and it happens to be natural, too.

This eye serum is a highly concentrated oligopeptide complex that targets concerns typically associated with chronological aging in and around the eye area. Rich in saponosides and flavonoids, this serum strengthens capillaries and firms and reactivates micro-circulation.

Some of the ingredients that make this item unique and effective are:

Hibiscus Esculentus Extract: A complex of oligopeptides derived from proteins of the seeds of okra.

Baobab (Adansonia Digitata): Gel obtained from Baobab pulp that contains mucilages rich in sugars, xylose, and alpha-hydroxy-acid.

Argania Spinosa Kernel Extract: High molecular weight protein extracted from argan fruit.

The Sapphire Anti-Aging Eye Serum retails for $150 for a 0.6-ounce bottle, but also includes an Eye Facial Service Treatment!

Tip: The Sapphire Salon & Destination Spa (247 S. Main St., Pittston) does carry sample experience sizes of each of their new skin care line to try before you invest in the full size.

Trick: Apply eye cream or serum twice daily in an inward motion. Before applying to the upper lid, make sure to read the item first to ensure it’s safe for the upper lid.
