What

…can you do if you’ve got the urge to get down to some polka music?

WVIA’s popular dance program Pennsylvania Polka will record hour-long television programs June 28 in the Keystone Grand Ball Room at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. Programs at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. will be recorded for later broadcast. The fun doesn’t stop there, as at 8 p.m. Pennsylvania Polka will be broadcast live on WVIA TV.

To attend and dance on the programs, you must be a WVIA Member in good standing, which at the minimum is the $40 membership level.

John Stevens Double Shot will perform during the 3 p.m. program, Mon Valley Push will play during the 5:30 p.m. program, and RBO Band will be featured during the live broadcast at 8 p.m.

Where

…can you go if you need a wedding dress, or want to donate one, and also help a great cause?

Brides Against Breast Cancer will bring its Nationwide Tour of Gowns to the Best Western Pioneer Plaza (25 S. Main St., Carbondale) on June 21.

Brides Against Breast Cancer is a national nonprofit that tours the country selling donated wedding gowns with the proceeds directly going towards programs and services for people who are impacted by cancer. Area brides can browse hundreds of new and lovingly worn gowns that range from $99 to $3,900 in sizes 4 to 18.

If you have already said, “I do,” donating your gown to Brides Against Breast Cancer will provide free programs for cancer patients and their families.

The VIP “Unveiling of the Gowns” Reception is June 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and $25 in advance, which admits the bride and a guest. (Additional guests are $15.) The general admission show will be the same day from 1 to 5 p.m. with a $5 donation to enter in advance. At the door tickets will be $20 and $30 for the VIP reception and $7 for the general show.

When

…can you attend a gathering that celebrates vintage, classic, café racer motorcycles, and all things rocker or mod?

The Fifth Annual Rocker’s Roll will start on July 25 with a meet-and-greet at Cooper’s Cabana in Pittston from 7 p.m. to close, with the main event happening July 26 at Conroy Park in Pittston from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The festivities will include contests and prizes, a motorcycle/scooter show, motorcycle raffle, an optional group ride from 10 a.m. to noon, and live music featuring Big Daddy Dex, NRBQ, and other special artists. There will also be a Survivors’ Breakfast on July 27 from 8 a.m. to noon at a location to be announced.

This year’s event will benefit the ASPCA and the Greater Pittston Ambulance Association.
