This 1967 Pontiac GTO is owned by Bill Sokolowski of Plains.

“My family was a Pontiac family,” Sokolowski said. “My grandfather, my father, all my uncles drove only Pontiacs. I think at one time they owned every model available: Grand Am, Grand Prix, Trans Am, Bonneville, Phoenix, Sunfire. We were all very disappointed when General Motors discontinued the brand. At least with this GTO, I can keep history alive.”

“It took a lot to get the GTO in the shape it is in now,” he continued. “I worked with my buddy Mike many nights and weekends. It was weather-beaten and kind of sad when I was lucky enough to be able to buy it. I enjoy taking it out to car cruises and classic car nights; the ’60s definitely were a unique time in American automotive history that will never come again. I am glad I get to keep a small piece of it to enjoy, and to allow others to enjoy it as well.”
